MUMBA: Agri-biotechnology major Monsanto India on Tuesday announced resignations of its Chief Financial Officer, Abdul Alim Sayed and Director C Ravishankar.
India cut the royalties paid by local firms for Monsanto's genetically modified cotton seeds by nearly 70 percent on Wednesday, ignoring a threat by the world's biggest seed company to leave if it did.

Monsanto Co, the world's biggest seed company, threatened to pull out of India on Friday if the government imposed a big cut in royalties that local firms pay for its genetically modified cotton seeds.
