Take the Monsanto stock plunge - tell Wall Street to Dump Monsanto!

Two weeks ago, Food Democracy Now! launched our Monsanto divestment campaign and things are off to an amazing start!

Already, the phone lines at Fidelity, Vanguard and State Street have been ringing off the hook and thousands of you have reported calling your financial advisors and discovering that you inadvertently owned shares of Monsanto’s stock that were hiding in your mutual funds, 401K or pension funds. The great news is that many of you took immediate action and asked your advisor to sell those funds and invest in more socially responsible funds. That’s incredible and exactly how real lasting change is going to happen!

Monsanto claims that their patented GMOs engineered to withstand their weedkiller Roundup, and find their way into over 70% of food in our grocery stores, are perfectly safe. So why are they fighting GMO labeling in the U.S.? Unfortunately, if you have a retirement fund, 401K or mutual funds you could be profiting from Monsanto’s toxic products.

It's time to Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is!

This coming Friday, May 9th we’re having flash mob protests in select cities across the U.S. at Fidelity Investment offices to let them know that we’re serious about dumping Monsanto’s toxic assets.

Fidelity alone owns more than $3.2 billion in Monsanto stock. In total, Fidelity manages more than $4.6 trillion in assets and more than 20 million customers in the U.S. – Are you one of them?

How You Can Boycott Monsanto for Life and Help Defund Their Toxic Agenda:

We understand that not everyone is invested in mutual funds or has a retirement fund, but we all have friends or family who do. And if you want to change our food supply, it’s important to remember – Friends don’t let friends invest in Monsanto!

Here are 4 ways to boycott the mutual funds that own Monsanto and find out if you have Monsanto hiding in your investment portfolios.

1. Call your financial advisor and ask if you have a fund that contains Monsanto stock and tell them to sell it.

2. Tell Wall Street: Friends don’t let Friends invest in Monsanto!

3. Watch this short Video that explains it all and share it with your friends.

4. Join Food Democracy Now!’s Facebook page and the Divest Monsanto Now! Facebook page to keep up on the divestment campaign!

If your company has a 401K plan or pension fund, call your advisor and tell them you want to only invest in funds without Monsanto, chemical or junk food companies.
