For decades, major food companies have been labeling products that contain genetically engineered and synthetic ingredients as "All Natural." The good news is that this is beginning to come to an end.
As part of its recent class action lawsuit settlement, Naked Juice, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, has agreed to remove the label "All Natural" from all of its juices and to pay $9 million to the class action group.
An important part of this class action lawsuit is to appoint a non-profit to receive any unclaimed funds that have been designated to consumers, so it can continue to pursue improvements in accurate labeling throughout the industry. Yet, Naked Juice doesn’t want this to happen and is trying to appoint two non-profits who have nothing to do with accurate labeling!
Tell Naked Juice that you demand a real commitment to honest labeling and that Food Democracy Now! should be the appointed non-profit to this settlement!
